Amazing Natural Escape!

Fisheating Creek is an absolute gem in south-central Florida! My family and I had an unforgettable experience canoeing down this pristine waterway. The scenery is breathtaking, with lush vegetation, towering cypress trees, and an abundance of wildlife. We spotted alligators, turtles, and a variety of bird species along the way. The peaceful and serene environment made it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The campsite facilities were well-maintained and clean, with plenty of space for tents and RVs. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. We also enjoyed the hiking trails, which offered stunning views and a chance to fully immerse ourselves in nature.

Whether you’re into paddling, bird-watching, hiking, or just relaxing by the water, Fisheating Creek has something for everyone. I highly recommend this beautiful spot to anyone looking for an authentic outdoor adventure.

The perfect camping experience wheather you have an rv, camper, or tent, there is a site for you. The staff is amazing. This was my 2nd time primitive camping herweand love it.
Our primitive camp site was SO8...there were a few other sites to choose from that were perfectly dry.
Some were unavailable due to the recent passing of hurricane Helene.
That didn't effect our experience. It was such an amazing time. We met new friends. I could write a book ....lol

This is a camping ground. There are no “rooms” aside from the tent or RV that you use to stay in the grounds.

They are dog friendly but on in a certain area and not at or near the lake depot. The animal can’t be on the lake premises for fear or contamination from their feces/pee.

They have employees on golf carts checking up on the grounds several times a day to ensure all is well with the campers.

They have a fishing area and kayak/canoe for rental. Ice can be purchased at the main office along with firewood and other small things.

The bad reviews are mostly mad folks who complain anyhoo. I see some of their points, but overall this place is great. Shade is something to be desired in some spots but, hey, you're camping. We rode bikes easily throughout the grounds and kayaked the creek as far as we could go: 9/10

Great campground! Family friendly and fun If you’re looking for peace and quiet this may not be the one for you. Quiet time is not until 11:00PM and it gets busy on weekends. The grounds are well kept if you visit PLEASE DO NOT LITTER! This is a beautiful place! Yes water bottle caps, bread ties and beer caps ARE LITTER!

Staff and office personnel are friendly and welcoming enjoy this piece of south Florida beauty with respect.

The worst customer service. I have been going to this place for 40 years and never been treated as badly as this weekend by staff. The lady is the office Debbie is so rude. I will not be coming back here. She is rude and disrespectful and as well as the guy sitting out front that also works there. The disrespect was crazy. Our power on our site didn’t work messed up the electrical in our camper. We know it wasn’t our camper our neighbor hooked to ours to see if it would work and it didn’t work for them and the campground acted like it was nothing and wouldn’t fix it we couldn’t even stay the night cause we had no power. Now have to replace stuff in the camper because of it. We will not be back and we come many times a year.
